Buddha Caaaaaaat is a stream of quiet strength, a round wave curling into a lively vibration. On the palate, the wine draws you into its orbit, broad, then razor-sharp. It surprises. Between galactic softness and precise bite, you can feel the Loire and its black stone vibrating. Buddha Caaaaaaat settles on a veil of peace, a discreet heartbeat, down to the last drop.

immediate breadth, a deep and enveloping texture, then a straight tension rises and carries the wine. Flavours unfold in layers, between ripe fruit, salinity and controlled creaminess. The finish stretches out at length, precise, with the mineral vibration that marks great terroirs.

whole sweetheart cabbage roasted in the oven then glazed with brown butter, its melting leaves and caramelised edges meeting the enveloping breadth of the wine, with crushed toasted hazelnuts and a dash of preserved lemon, to make the straight tension and the black stone of the wine surge forward.
Vines on the bedrock of Black Anjou (Anjou Noir), the schists of the renowned villages of Rablay-sur-Layon, Faye-d’Anjou and Bellevigne-en-Layon.
Biodynamic viticulture. Hand harvest, with grapes sorted in the vineyard. Spontaneous fermentation (indigenous yeasts), vinification with no added sulphites, bottling with no filtration or fining. The ingredients are simple: healthy grapes.
Chardonnay: from the “Le Champ du Moulin” parcel, vines planted in 1989, north-east/south-west exposure, on weathered hard limestone falun (shells). Vinified and aged in 225L French oak barrels for 12 months, then racked and blended in stainless steel tank. 3 months of finishing. Bottled according to the lunar cycles.
This wine was created by Christophe Kaczmarek and the team at Domaine Les Grandes Vignes, a superb natural wine estate in Anjou.
As always at Caaaaaaat, the wines are vinified, blended, bottled and packaged at the estate. From vine to cellar, everything is done with respect, with the aim of regenerating the soils, encouraging biodiversity and respecting the people who are part of it.
