Its glowing color swirls on the crystalline walls of your wine glass, as Fafnir’s flames set the lands of Nidavellir ablaze. The food and wine pairings are infinite, which the quantities produced of this cuvée are not, so we recommend the exceptional: a dragon-fire BBQ, a stellar tortilla, or a Viking cheese soup accompanied by young wild shoots and roasted turnip crisps served with butter.

Climate

Scorching heat, with record temperatures and persistent drought. The vines showed remarkable resilience despite extreme conditions.

Yield
Generally good, except in regions hit hard by drought like Languedoc and Roussillon.

Ruby red, intense and deep, with luminous highlights

Racy, complex, with hints of black fruit, black pepper, cedar…

A limestone hand in a velvet glove. Concentrated, powerful and elegant at the same time. Ripe, fine, biting tannins. The finish is enveloping, lively and soaring towards the stars.


Terroir

Vineyards on a plateau at an altitude of 300 metres, with soils composed of chalky clay and rounded pebbles.

Winemaking

Hand-picked, with grapes sorted on the vine. Maceration in whole bunches for five days, then matured in French oak barrels (Rousseau) for 16 months. Spontaneous fermentation (indigenous yeasts), vinification without added sulphites, bottling without filtration, clarification or addition of sulphites. The ingredients used are simple: healthy grapes.

Winemaker

This wine was crafted by Christophe Kaczmarek, as part of a secret collaboration full of (non-carnal) love and Dionysian audacity. Henri Jayer’s AI was not involved in the natural production process of this cosmic wine.

From the vineyard to the cellar, everything is done with respect, with the aim of regenerating the soil, encouraging biodiversity and respecting the people who are part of it.
